We purchased Yankee from a kill pen in the summer of 2020, He was suppose to be our guard animal for the cows. Turns out he is more like a puppy dog and loves attention and snacks. When picking up Yankee a sweet, timid female donkey who was pregnant was also in the same pen. I went for 1 donkey but couldn't stop thinking about her the whole way home so we turned around and went back to get her too. So now we have the complete family. Yankee, Chloe (the mom) and Zoe (the baby). They are living their best life here at the ranch and tend to rule the roost despite their size!

It took just 3 months for their transformation into healthy mini donkeys. (Check the gallery for before and after photos from when we picked them up and 3 months later).
