In the summer of 2022, we set out to rescue a mini donkey from a kill pen. The heat was intense, there was no shade, and he was clearly underweight. In the same pasture was a pregnant jenny, and although we initially left with just Yankee, we couldn’t stop thinking about her. We turned back and brought Chloe home too, knowing she could give birth at any moment. Check out the before-and-after photos showing their incredible transformation over three months. Our mini donkey crew is now complete with all three—Yankee, Chloe, and little Zoe.
